Theophilus Preston Fulkerson died Sept. 7, 1923, in Grundy County, Missouri. He was 78.
According to his death certificate, Theophilus was born April 6, 1845, in Grundy County, to Benjamin Franklin Fulkerson, born in Virginia, and Mary Ewing, born in Kentucky. At the time of his death, he was married to Phylena Emeline Fulkerson.
Theophilus’s cause of death was chronic cystitis (severe bladder pressure) secondary to an enlarged prostate. He was buried was on Sept. 9, 1923, at the Edinburg IOOF Cemetery in Edinburg, Missouri.
