Phillip Lindsay Grimes died on Sept. 15, 1919, in rural Saline County, Missouri. He was 51.
According to his death certificate, Phillip was born on July 13, 1868, in Kentucky to Sidney A. Hall and Phillip L. Grimes, both also born in Kentucky. Phillip was a farmer, and was married to Bettie Grimes.
Phillip’s cause of death was Bright’s disease, an inflammation of the kidneys. He was buried on Sept. 17, 1919, at Slater City Cemetery in Slater, Missouri.
