According to his death certificate, Jewett was born on May 28, 1887, in Kansas to James Evan Fulkerson and Georgia Shannon. Jewett was a farmer; he lived in rural Laclede County, near Lebanon. Jewett was married to Dovie Monroe.
Jewett’s cause of death was cardiovascular renal disease. He died at Wallace Hospital in Lebanon.
Jewett was buried Jan. 17, 1969, at Lebanon City Cemetery in Lebanon.
