Jessie Bernice Hoskins Herring died one day short of her 77th birthday in 1965.
According to her death certificate, Bernice, as she was known to family, was born on Feb. 15, 1888, in Grundy County, Missouri, to Celia O. McCune and Joshua Hoskins. Husband Fred L. Herring preceded her in death. Bernice lived about half a mile east of Brimson, Missouri.
Bernice’s cause of death was heart failure. She was buried on Feb. 17, 1965, at Edinburg IOOF Cemetery in Edinburg, Missouri.
