Lena Bertha Grimes died on Feb. 11, 1963, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall, Missouri. She was 68.
According to her death certificate, Lena was born on Oct. 19, 1894, in Deepwater, Missouri, to Mary LeFever and James Houk. Lena, a retired insurance agent, lived at 526 E. Mitchell in Marshall. She had lived in Marshall for 26 years. Lena’s husband preceded her in death.
Lena’s died after a cerebral hemorrhage due to hypertension. She was buried on Feb. 13, 1963, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall.
